The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Announces the 2023 Grant Competition – Support for Georgian Dance and Song Ensembles Abroad

The project aims both to deepen the ties of the Georgian diaspora with the homeland and to promote the preservation of cultural identity, while also fostering the popularization of Georgia and Georgian culture abroad.

Within the framework of the project, funding will be provided for initiatives aimed at supporting the functioning and further development of Georgian ensembles operating abroad. Additionally, for the first time this year, the program will include a new pilot component. Specifically, over the course of one year, a grant will be awarded to finance concerts in Georgia - preferably in the regions - by four Georgian dance and song ensembles based abroad.

Applications will be evaluated and winners selected through a competitive process by a commission composed of representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth of Georgia, the Administration of the President of Georgia, and the Parliament’s Committee on Diaspora and Caucasus Issues.

Georgian citizens residing abroad may submit grant applications from 26 July to 3 September 2023.

Applications must be submitted electronically, within the specified deadlines, to the following address: [email protected]
(applications and accompanying documents will only be accepted in electronic form).
