The 2024 Grant Competition for the “Be Your Country’s Young Ambassador” Project Has Been Announced

Since 2018, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, with the support of the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD), has been implementing the “Be Your Country’s Young Ambassador” grant program. The program aims to promote Georgia internationally, advance initiatives and activities that protect the country’s national interests, and raise awareness within the international community on issues such as Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration, as well as de-occupation and the peaceful resolution of conflicts. The program also seeks to establish a network of young foreign friends of Georgia, foster engagement with members of the Georgian diaspora, and implement cultural and educational initiatives.

Grant Program Support for Diaspora Initiatives 2023 Announced

The program aims to involve Georgians residing abroad in the advancement of Georgia’s national interests on the international stage, to promote Georgia globally, to preserve national identity and cultural distinctiveness among compatriots abroad - including raising awareness about Georgia among younger generations - to foster public diplomacy, and to encourage the deepening of cultural and economic ties with host countries. Additional objectives include implementing initiatives that support Georgia’s foreign policy goals, raising international awareness on the topics of de-occupation and the peaceful resolution of conflicts, promoting the country’s economic potential and Georgian products, and ensuring informational support for the program’s objectives.

The 2023 grant competition, “Support for Diaspora Initiatives,” has been announced.

The objective of the grant program is to foster the engagement of compatriots residing abroad in advancing Georgia’s national interests on the international stage, to promote the country globally, and to support initiatives aligned with Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration agenda. The program further seeks to enhance international awareness regarding de-occupation and the peaceful resolution of conflicts, and to contribute to keeping these issues active on the global agenda.
