Born on 19 May 1967 in Tbilisi, Georgia.
Since 1 July 2025, he has been serving as First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
From 3 December 2024 to 1 July 2025, he held the position of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
In 2024, he headed the Ministry’s European Department.
From 2019 to 2024, he served as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Ireland.
Between 2014 and 2019, he held the position of Minister Plenipotentiary at the Embassy of Georgia in Ireland.
From 2013 to 2014, he served as Director of the Department of Diplomatic Protocol.
Between 2012 and 2013, he headed the Millennium Challenge Fund - Georgia as its Executive Director.
From 2005 to 2012, Giorgi Zurabashvili served as Head of the Protocol Department of the Government Chancellery of Georgia.
In 2002-2003, he acted as Chief of Staff of the State Minister’s Office.
From 1996 to 2002, he was First Deputy Head of the State Protocol Service.
Between 1992 and 1993, he was a member of the International Humanitarian Commission under the Cabinet of the Head of State.
In 1989, Giorgi Zurabashvili graduated from the Tbilisi State Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages, specializing in English and Spanish.
He holds the academic degree of Candidate of Philological Sciences and a bachelor's degree in Linguistics.
In 2021, he was awarded the diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
He is proficient in English and Russian.
