Diplomatic Relations between the Arab Republic of Egypt and Georgia were established on 11 May 1992.
Cooperation between Georgia and the Arab Republic of Egypt has been developing in political, trade-economic, investment, infrastructure, health, agriculture, education, culture and tourism fields. There is a practice of bilateral political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of two countries. High-level visits, business forums and cultural events are held.
Within the framework of the Technical Cooperation Program, Georgian representatives are regularly participating in training courses in different fields organized by the Egyptian side, including courses in Arabic language.
