Steering Committee Meeting on the Council of Europe Action Plan for Georgia 2024-2027 

On 9 October, a meeting of the Steering Committee on the Council of Europe Action Plan for Georgia 2024-2027 was held in Tbilisi. The meeting brought together representatives of Georgia’s executive and legislative branches, as well as the Council of Europe. The event was opened by Lasha Darsalia, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and Claus Neukirch, Director of Programme Co-ordination at the Council of Europe.

At the Steering Committee meeting, participants reviewed the progress of projects implemented under the Action Plan during the reporting period and took stock of the results achieved. Emphasis was placed on the importance of the Action Plan in advancing reforms and on the successful cooperation with the Council of Europe in this regard.

It is noteworthy that the Council of Europe Action Plan for Georgia 2024-2027 was adopted on 18 October 2023, at the 1478th meeting of the Ministers’ Deputies. It is the fourth Council of Europe Action Plan for Georgia.
