Within the framework of the NATO Vilnius Summit, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Ilia Darchiashvili met with the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom, James Cleverly.
The sides noted with satisfaction that the traditionally friendly and partner relations established between Georgia and the United Kingdom. While on the theme of Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration Ilia Darchiashvili drew special attention to the importance of the United Kingdom’s support in this process.
The sides assessed the Vilnius summit where Georgia received important messages.
Ilia Darchiashvili and James Cleverly talked about the security environment in the region and agreed to strengthen cooperation in this regard.
The Georgian Foreign Minister thanked his British counterpart for the support of Georgia.
