The Japanese Ambassador to Georgia has presented copies of his credentials to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia

On 20 June 2023, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Georgia, Ishizuka Hideki, presented copies of his credentials to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Aleksandre Khvtisiashvili.

Following the presentation ceremony, the sides held a meeting to discuss main directions of cooperation between the two countries and future plans. For his part, the Japanese diplomat thanked the deputy minister for the warm reception and expressed his commitment  to further intensive cooperation.

The sides  agreed to upgrade the existing partnership between Georgia and Japan to an even higher level.
At the end of the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs congratulated the Japanese Ambassador on the launch of the diplomatic mission in Georgia and wished him success in his future activities; He expressed the hope that the friendly relations between the two countries will further deepen during his tenure.
