On 26 March 2025, the Ambassador-designate of the Federative Republic of Brazil to Georgia, Carlos Ricardo Martins Célia, presented copies of his credentials to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Lasha Darsalia. The Deputy Minister congratulated the Ambassador on the commencement of his diplomatic mission and wished him success in his future endeavors.
During the meeting, both sides welcomed the positive dynamics of ongoing cooperation between Georgia and Brazil and discussed opportunities for deepening their partnership both bilaterally and within multilateral frameworks. It was noted that, despite the geographical distance, trade and economic relations between the two countries have been steadily growing, underscoring the importance of fully utilizing the existing potential.
To explore new and promising areas of cooperation, the discussion highlighted the necessity of high-level visits and the continuation of regular political dialogue between the foreign ministries of both countries.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the fruitful cooperation between Georgia and Brazil.
