Ilia Darchiashvili has met with the Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands

Within the framework of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia met with his Dutch counterpart.

At an introductory meeting, Ilia Darchiashvili and Hanke Bruins Slot talked about the existing relations between Georgia and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, positively assessing the high-level ties established between the sides. 

Special attention was paid to the process of Georgia's integration into the European Union, the current situation regarding the implementation of the recommendations of the European Commission. Ilia Darchiashvili informed his colleague about the efforts of the Georgian government to fulfill the tasks necessary for receiving candidate status. The importance of the support of the Netherlands in this process was emphasized. 

The ministers exchanged information on the security environment in the region. Ilia Darchiashvili thanked his colleague for supporting Georgia. He wished Hanke Bruins Slot success in her role work as Minister of Foreign Affairs.
