Lasha Darsalia Meets with the UN Resident Coordinator in Georgia, Didier Trebucq

On 9 September 2026, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Lasha Darsalia held a meeting with the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Georgia, Didier Trebucq.

The sides highlighted the fruitful cooperation between Georgia and the Office of the UN Resident Coordinator. The importance of the Resident Coordinator’s Office in facilitating the implementation of the sustainable development goals was also underscored.

The sides discussed key issues on the United Nations agenda, including the UN80 Initiative of the UN General Assembly.

The discussion also focused on preparations for the High-Level Week of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.

Particular attention was paid to the grave situation in Georgia’s Abkhazia and Tskhinvali regions occupied by Russia.
