Austria’s Ambassador-designate, Robert Gershner has presented copies of his credentials to Teimuraz Janjalia

On 17 September 2024, the Ambassador-designate of the Republic of Austria, Robert Gershner, presented copies of his credentials to Georgia's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Teimuraz Janjalia.

Following the credential handover ceremony, Teimuraz Janjalia congratulated Ambassador Gershner on the start of his diplomatic mission in Georgia and wished him success in his future endeavors.

The meeting underscored the strong and friendly relations between the two countries, highlighted by several high-level visits in recent years. Janjalia expressed gratitude for Austria’s continued support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as for the significant contributions of the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) in promoting development across various sectors in Georgia.

Ambassador Gershner, in turn, conveyed his commitment to further deepening Georgian-Austrian relations during his tenure. He reaffirmed Austria’s unwavering support for Georgia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and its path toward European Union integration.
