On 11 June 2026, within the framework of the visit to the Kyrgyz Republic, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Botchorishvili, held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Jeenbek Kulubaev.
The ministers discussed issues pertaining to bilateral and multilateral cooperation. Particular emphasis was placed on the significance of the first official visit at the highest level from Georgia, which is expected to provide renewed impetus to cooperation between the two countries. In this context, the parties underscored the importance of maintaining high-level dialogue between Georgia and the Kyrgyz Republic.
Particular attention was paid to the importance of advancing economic cooperation. The discussions also focused on cooperation in the fields of transport and logistics, as well as the strategic importance of developing the Middle Corridor for both countries, and issues related to regional cooperation.
The ministers also explored ways to deepen cooperation across different sectors. The Minister congratulated her Kyrgyz counterpart on the election of the Kyrgyz Republic as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the 2027-2028 term. Maka Botchorishvili invited the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic to visit Georgia.
Within the framework of the visit of the Prime Minister of Georgia to the Kyrgyz Republic, a number of agreements covering various areas of cooperation will be signed.
