The UNFPA Country Director for Georgia, Mariam Khan has handed over her credentials to Vladimer Konstantinidis

On 30 November 2023, the newly appointed UNFPA Country Director for Georgia, Mariam Khan presented her credentials to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vladimer Konstantinidis.


The sides focused on issues related to UNFPA activities and future plans in Georgia. The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs thanked Mariam Khan for UNFPA’s active cooperation with Georgia, and provided her with information about the reforms carried out by the Georgian government over the recent years and wished her success in her future work.

At the end of the meeting, the deputy minister once again confirmed the government's support for UNFPA's activities in Georgia. On her part, Mariam Khan expressed her readiness for close cooperation with the Georgian side.
