Starting from 30 September, Georgian citizens will travel visa-free to Hong Kong

Starting from 30 September 2024, Georgian citizens will be able to travel to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China without a visa. 

According to the decision by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Georgian citizens can visit Hong Kong without a visa and stay for up to 30 consecutive days.

This agreement on visa-free travel between Georgia and Hong Kong was achieved through active diplomatic efforts. It is worth noting that visa-free travel for Georgian citizens to the People's Republic of China has been in effect since 28 May 2024.

It is important to mention that due to Hong Kong’s status as a special administrative region, it maintains an independent immigration and visa policy.
