On the margins of the United Nations High-Level Conference held in Seville, Spain, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Botchorishvili, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Singapore, Vivian Balakrishnan. During the meeting, the two ministers reviewed bilateral relations, cooperation within international formats, and the potential for further development of ties between Georgia and Singapore.
Particular attention was given to opportunities for cooperation in the economic and trade sectors. It was noted that both Georgia and Singapore serve as exemplary models of successful economic policy implementation, contributing to the creation of competitive investment and business environments.
The discussion also underscored the geostrategic location of both countries, highlighting Georgia’s growing role in enhancing global connectivity and in the development of trade and energy transit routes linking various regions of the world.
The ministers discussed opportunities for fostering closer ties between business communities and emphasized the importance of high-level exchanges. Both sides expressed their readiness to work towards strengthening political dialogue and expanding sectoral cooperation.
