On 26 November 2025, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Botchorishvili, met with Faruk Çelik, Chair of the Türkiye-Georgia Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Türkiye, along with the accompanying delegation.
The meeting focused on the strong strategic partnership between Georgia and the Republic of Türkiye and explored opportunities for the further development of their close bilateral ties. The discussion addressed parliamentary cooperation between the two countries and underscored the important role of the parliamentary dimension in strengthening bilateral relations. The positive dynamics of high-level reciprocal visits were also noted.
In reviewing developments in the region, both sides emphasized the roles of Georgia and Türkiye in promoting stability and peace.
The parties further discussed trade and economic cooperation between Georgia and the Republic of Türkiye, highlighting the need to fully utilize the two countries’ transit and transport potential within the context of developing the Middle Corridor.
