The Georgian Foreign Minister Meets with Her Egyptian Counterpart

On 24 September 2026, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Botchorishvili, held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Badr Abdelatty.

During the meeting, the sides reviewed the existing relations between Georgia and Egypt and highlighted the importance of exchanging high-level visits.

The ministers also discussed prospects for deepening trade and economic cooperation, including possibilities for developing direct air services between the two countries.

The discussion also focused on the situation in the region and ongoing developments.

The sides reaffirmed their readiness to further deepen cooperation both in the bilateral format and within international organizations.
