Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Participates in the 50th Meeting of the BSEC Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs

On 27 June 2025, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Aleksandre Khvtisiashvili, took part in the 50th Meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs (CMFA) of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC).

In his address, the Deputy Minister highlighted the Black Sea region’s growing economic significance. He underscored the importance of ensuring peace, security, and stability in the region, as well as the need for peaceful resolution of existing conflicts based on respect for the principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity. These elements, he noted, are essential prerequisites for sustainable and stable economic development among BSEC member states.

Mr. Khvtisiashvili also drew attention to ongoing and planned projects involving Georgia in the areas of connectivity, transport and logistics, energy, and services.

The Georgian side expressed gratitude to the Republic of Azerbaijan for its efforts during its BSEC Chairmanship and extended best wishes to the Republic of Bulgaria for a successful term as the incoming Chair for the July–December 2025 period.
