During Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze's visit to the United Kingdom, Georgia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ilia Darchiashvili, held an introductory meeting with David Lammy, the UK's Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Affairs.

Ilia Darchiashvili congratulated his British counterpart on his recent appointment and wished him success in his new role.

Both ministers expressed their commitment to further strengthening the close partnership between Georgia and the UK, particularly within the framework of the Wardrop Strategic Dialogue.

Darchiashvili thanked Lammy for the UK's support of Georgia's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and its European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations.

The discussion also covered current global and regional developments, emphasizing the importance of ensuring peace and stability amid ongoing challenges.

The ministers agreed to actively collaborate on shared priorities to enhance cooperation between their countries.
