Ilia Darchiashvili has met with his Uzbek colleague

Within the framework of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, Ilia Darchiashvili met with his Uzbek colleague Bakhtiyor Saidov.

At the meeting, the sides discussed issues relating to bilateral and multilateral relations. Active and successful cooperation of Georgia with the Central Asian countries was also noted.

Special emphasis was put on Georgia- Uzbekistan sectoral cooperation, in particular, on the development of trade and economic relations and the use of Georgia's transit potential.

Special note was taken of the productive relations between the legislative bodies of Georgia and Uzbekistan.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs thanked his colleague for supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia.
