The British Ambassador to Georgia, Gareth Ward, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, where he met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maka Botchorishvili.
During the meeting, the Georgian side expressed concern over the imposition of sanctions by the United Kingdom on Georgian officials.
Maka Botchorishvili emphasized that such actions harm the longstanding friendship between the two nations.
Additionally, the Foreign Minister underscored the importance of an objective and impartial assessment of ongoing developments in Georgia.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed hope that cooperation between the foreign ministries of Georgia and the United Kingdom will return to a positive trajectory.
