Ilia Darchiashvili has been appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and as Georgia’s Permanent Representative to the International Maritime Organization

Ilia Darchiashvili has been appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and as Georgia’s Permanent Representative to the International Maritime Organization.

Ilia Darchiashvili served as Georgia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2022 to 2024. From 2017 to 2021, he was Georgia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Poland.

He has also held the positions of Head of the Administration of the Government of Georgia and First Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure. He also served as Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia.

Ilia Darchiashvili holds the diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
