Maka Botchorishvili has met with her Vietnamese Counterpart on the Sidelines of the UN General Assembly

On 22 September 2025, within the framework of the United Nations General Assembly, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Botchorishvili, held a meeting with the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Le Hoai Trung.

The parties discussed possible avenues for cooperation between the two countries across various fields, with particular emphasis on trade and economic relations, investment, tourism, and logistics. Attention was also devoted to the importance of strengthening high-level contacts, enhancing the legal framework, and promoting collaboration in multilateral formats.

The Georgian Foreign Minister expressed gratitude to the Vietnamese side for its support of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, underscoring the importance of peace and stability.

It was noted that, in line with the recent decision, the forthcoming opening of the Embassy of Georgia in Vietnam will serve to further advance bilateral relations.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the ministers reaffirmed their readiness to pursue future cooperation.
