Alexander Khvtisiashvili has participated in the second session of the Georgia-Kyrgyzstan Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation

On 11 June 2026, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Alexander Khvtisiashvili, participated in the second session of the Georgia-Kyrgyzstan Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, which was co-chaired by the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Mariam Kvrivishvili and the Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, Bakyt Sydykov.

Within the framework of the session, attention was focused on the growing dynamics of cooperation between the two countries and on the prospects for further deepening the partnership. The increasing importance of the Middle Corridor in strengthening connectivity between Asia and Europe, as well as Georgia’s transit potential, was highlighted. The discussion also focused on opportunities for expanding cooperation in bilateral trade between Georgia and the Kyrgyz Republic.

The session of the Commission concluded with the signing of a protocol.

The meeting was also attended by the Georgian Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Davit Songulashvili, the Deputy Head of the Government Administration, Ilia Shamugia and the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Genadi Arveladze.
