Maka Botchorishvili has met with representatives of the Georgian diaspora in San Francisco

During the visit to San Francisco, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Maka Botchorishvili attended a liturgy at the St. John the Baptist Georgian Orthodox Church in San Francisco and met with representatives of the Georgian diaspora.

It was emphasized that cooperation with Georgian embassies and consulates plays an important role in preserving the national and cultural identity of the diaspora living abroad, in promoting Georgia, and in enhancing the country’s positive image. The significant role of the Church in this regard was also underlined.

At the initiative of the Ministry, a number of projects for diaspora representatives will be implemented with the involvement of embassies and consulates, which were presented on 27 May as part of the Diaspora Day.
