On 5 December 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Botchorishvili, held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov.
During the meeting, the ministers welcomed the friendly relations and close strategic partnership between the two countries. Discussions focused on key areas of bilateral relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan.
The importance of maintaining the dynamic exchange of high-level visits between the two countries was emphasized. The ministers also highlighted the successful cooperation between Georgia and Azerbaijan within various international and regional frameworks.
Regional developments were also discussed, with particular attention to the importance of promoting peace and stability in the region. The necessity of involvement of Georgia and Azerbaijan in strategic projects of regional significance was underlined.
Maka Botchorishvili expressed gratitude to her Azerbaijani counterpart for Azerbaijan’s unwavering support for Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
