Ilia Darchiashvili met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Within the framework of the Munich Security Conference, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Ilia Darchiashvili, held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.

Referring to the successful visit of the Georgian Prime Minister to Saudi Arabia, the ministers once again emphasized the importance of timely and effectively implementing the agreements reached during the visit.

The ministers also welcomed the political consultations held in Saudi Arabia between the foreign ministries of the two countries, during which the priority areas of bilateral cooperation between the two countries were outlined. The ministers highlighted the importance of investment and economic cooperation and expressed their readiness to host business delegations to explore the existing potential in this regard.

Discussions also focused on actions to strengthen people-to-people ties and boost tourism. In response to Ilia Darchiashvili’s invitation to Georgia, Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud expressed his readiness to visit Georgia at the first opportunity.
