On 18 September 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Botchorishvili, held an introductory meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador of Hungary, Petra Ponevács-Pana. The Minister congratulated the Ambassador on her appointment and wished her success in her future endeavors.
During the meeting, the parties welcomed the close and friendly relations between the two countries, as well as their cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral formats, which has evolved into a solid strategic partnership.
The discussions focused on current issues of bilateral relations and prospects for further cooperation. Particular attention was paid to the importance of fully utilizing the potential in the fields of trade, economy, connectivity, and other areas of mutual interest. Satisfaction was expressed with the active dynamic of exchanges of high-level visits.
Minister Botchorishvili conveyed her gratitude for Hungary’s strong support of Georgia.
Both sides emphasized the necessity of continuing active cooperation with a view to further deepening Georgia-Hungary relations.
