Georgia participates in the Vilnius Summit of NATO

On 11 and 12 July 2023, the NATO Summit will be held in Vilnius. The Georgian delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ilia Darchiashvili, will participate in the Summit.

Ilia Darchiashvili will attend the meeting of the North Atlantic Council at the level of foreign ministers, where the foreign ministers of Sweden (as a country invited to join the Alliance), Bosnia and Herzegovina and Moldova and a high-ranking representative of the European Union will also be represented.

Discussions during the Summit will focus on regional and global security issues.

The participants of the Summit will adopt a final declaration reflecting the progress and prospects of Georgia's integration into NATO. The Summit will also confirm the Alliance's unconditional support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia.

Georgia's participation in the Vilnius Summit emphasizes the Alliance's firm support for the country's Euro-Atlantic integration and the high priority of the issue of Georgia on NATO's agenda.
