Meeting between the Georgian and Slovak Foreign Ministers

On 25 February 2025, within the framework of the 58th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili met with her Slovak counterpart, Juraj Blanár.

Minister Botchorishvili expressed her gratitude to the Slovak Minister of Foreign Affairs for Slovakia’s support of Georgia, both bilaterally and within international platforms. Particular emphasis was placed on Slovakia’s strong backing of Georgia’s European integration process.

The two ministers reviewed Georgia-EU relations, reaffirming that European integration remains Georgia’s top priority. They underscored the importance of maintaining a dialogue based on mutual respect between partners.

Discussions also covered ongoing developments in Georgia and Slovakia, as well as the broader regional situation. In the context of bilateral relations, the significance of high-level meetings and reciprocal visits was highlighted. Both sides expressed their commitment to continuing cooperation on issues of mutual importance to Georgia and Slovakia.
