On 19 June 2026, within the framework of the visit to the Republic of Tajikistan, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Botchorishvili, held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Muhriddin.
The ministers reviewed issues pertaining to cooperation both at the bilateral level and within international organizations. Particular emphasis was placed on the significance of the first official high-level visit from Georgia, which establishes a solid foundation for the further deepening of the partnership. In this context, the parties underscored the necessity of maintaining high-level dialogue between Georgia and Tajikistan.
Special attention was paid to the importance of the development of the Middle Corridor and to enhancing efforts aimed at strengthening regional cooperation.
Maka Botchorishvili invited the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan to visit Georgia.
