On 23 September 2025, within the framework of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Botchorishvili, held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Marko Đurić.
The ministers discussed the friendly relations between Georgia and Serbia, as well as cooperation both in bilateral and multilateral formats.
Special attention was devoted to the prospects for developing trade and economic ties. The launch of direct flights between the two countries was assessed positively, as it provides an important opportunity for further strengthening both people-to-people contacts and business-to-business relations.
The parties welcomed Serbia’s decision to open an embassy in Tbilisi and expressed their readiness to work actively toward further advancing and expanding cooperation across various fields.
