On 7 September 2026, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Botchorishvili met with Song Seog-jun, Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, and members of the Committee, who are on an official visit to Georgia.
During the meeting, the parties discussed relations between Georgia and the Republic of Korea and prospects for their further development. The discussion focused on key issues pertaining to bilateral relations and prospects for deepening trade and economic cooperation. The importance of direct air flights and a visa-free travel between the two countries in strengthening bilateral ties was also emphasised.
