Lasha Darsalia has met with the Council of Europe Delegation

On 12 March 2025, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Lasha Darsalia, held a meeting with members of the Council of Europe delegation. The visit aimed to contribute to the preparation of the 31st consolidated report of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe on The Conflict in Georgia.

During the meeting, the Deputy Minister provided the delegation with an overview of the security, humanitarian, and human rights situation in the Russian-occupied regions of Abkhazia and Tskhinvali, as well as key developments during the reporting period.

Darsalia emphasized the importance of keeping the Russia-Georgia conflict high on the international agenda and underscored the significance of the Secretary General’s consolidated reports in this context.
He also briefed the delegation on the dynamics of the Geneva International Discussions, providing updated insights into the negotiation process.

As part of their visit to Georgia, the Council of Europe delegation held meetings with the First Deputy Minister of Internally Displaced Persons, Labour, Health, and Social Affairs; representatives of the Office of the State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality; the State Security Service; and the Public Defender’s Office of Georgia.
