Maka Botchorishvili has met with the Chinese Ambassador to Georgia

On 17 December  2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Botchorishvili, met with the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Georgia, Zhou Qian.

The Chinese Ambassador congratulated the Minister on her appointment and wished her success in her new role.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of bilateral and multilateral cooperation. Emphasis was placed on the relations established through the strategic partnership between Georgia and China. The discussion covered the potential for deepening cooperation in the areas of politics, trade and economics, tourism, cultural and humanitarian ties, and people-to-people contacts.

The parties also reviewed ongoing processes and challenges in the broader region. The Ambassador reaffirmed China's unwavering support for Georgia.

At the end of the meeting, both parties expressed hope that result-oriented cooperation between Georgia and China will continue effectively in the future.
