The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Botchorishvili, met with the Ambassador of Malaysia to Georgia, Ahmad Kamrizamil Mohd Riza. Minister Botchorishvili congratulated the Malaysian diplomat on his appointment and wished him success in his future endeavors.
During the meeting, the parties reviewed the agenda of bilateral relations and expressed hope that the existing positive dynamics would be maintained and further strengthened in the fields of trade and economy, as well as education, culture, and digital services.
The importance of high-level bilateral visits was underscored, emphasizing the need for continued efforts to enhance cooperation in this regard.
Discussions also covered Georgia’s favorable investment climate, opportunities for strengthening business ties between the two countries, and the sharing of Georgia’s successful experience in public service delivery.
Both sides welcomed the visa-free regime between Georgia and Malaysia, highlighting its role in fostering tourism and people-to-people exchanges.
The conversation also addressed the situation in the occupied territories and Georgia’s peace policy. Minister Botchorishvili expressed gratitude to the Malaysian side for its support of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to close cooperation.
