"The Vilnius summit will definitely provide a strong impetus on the path of NATO-Georgia relations, and Georgia will continue to progressively integrate its foreign policy priorities," - the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Ilia Darchiashvili said from the NATO summit in Vilnius.
According to him, Georgia received important messages at the Vilnius summit.
"We had a very interesting ministerial meeting within NATO. Georgia received very important messages from its partners. It is widely known and our population is well aware that Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration is our key priority. Accordingly, today, it was once again emphasized at the Vilnius summit, that Georgia has strong support from NATO partners.
„The final document reaffirms very strong support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity“, the minister noted. According to him, it is important that the Vilnius summit declaration highlights the decision of the Bucharest summit in relation to Georgia, which gives the country an additional impetus for further progress on the path of integration into the Alliance. According to him, Georgia will use all available mechanisms for further progressive integration into NATO.
According to him, the summit declaration gives high appraisal to Georgia’s efforts and contribution to the strengthening of global security.
Commenting on the support expressed by the Alliance towards Ukraine, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia also emphasized the importance of the decision of the Vilnius summit in this regard, which once again confirmed strong support for Ukraine at war.
