Teimuraz Janjalia has met with the Ambassador of Armenia

On 1 February 2023, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Teimuraz Janjalia, held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Georgia, Ashot Smbatian.

Discussions focused on the close cooperation between the two countries, which is successfully developing both in bilateral and multilateral formats. Special attention was paid to Georgia’s European integration and to Armenia's cooperation with the European Union. The importance of the international community’s involvement in the region and the role of diplomatic efforts were also emphasized.

Discussing transit and transport issues, the sides noted the great potential of our region in this direction. They expressed their willingness to further deepen bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy, trade and culture.
