The newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia has presented copies of her credentials to Teimuraz Janjalia

On 3 November 2023, the newly appointed ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia (with residence in Kyiv), Matea Prevolshek, handed over copies of her credentials to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Teimuraz Janjalia.

The deputy minister congratulated the Slovenian diplomat on her appointment and wished her success in her future work.

At the meeting, the sides noted the traditionally friendly relations between Georgia and Slovenia and emphasized the importance of further deepening and activating the bilateral dialogue.

Special attention was paid to Georgia’s European integration process and the progress achieved in this regard. The deputy minister expressed the hope that Georgia's efforts will be evaluated accordingly and the country will receive the EU candidate status by the end of the year.

The Slovenian Diplomat expressed her readiness to actively contribute to further deepening the Georgia-Slovenia relations in all directions. She confirmed Slovenia's strong position regarding Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity and emphasized that Slovenia actively continues to support Georgia's European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
