Within the framework of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, Ilia Darchiashvili held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Grenada, Joseph Andal, to discuss the existing cooperation within international organizations. The sides expressed their interest in promoting the further deepening of bilateral relations.
The ministers reviewed the possible areas of cooperation, including in the field of tourism.
The sides emphasized the importance of sharing Georgia's experience in the field of institutional reforms and electronic governance.
On September 20, Ilia Darchiashvili also held a meeting with the head of Timor-Leste's foreign ministry, Benedito Freitas.
Within the framework of the meeting, the ministers signed a memorandum of cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and Timor-Leste, which, according to the sides, will contribute to the further development of relations between the two countries.
The Georgian side noted that Georgia is interested in intensifying relations with South-East Asian countries. Georgia's active participation and involvement in various regional platforms was also noted. The ministers welcomed the close coordination of the two countries within the framework of the United Nations.
