On 30 June 2026, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Khatuna Totladze, participated in the 67th General Assembly of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC), hosted by the Parliament of Georgia.
The Deputy Minister delivered welcoming remarks at the official opening ceremony of the General Assembly. In her address, she reviewed Georgia's tenure as Chair of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) and underscored that Georgia attaches great importance to this platform as a means of strengthening regional cooperation and fostering partnership ties.
Khatuna Totladze drew attention to the key issues discussed during the General Assembly, including innovation, digital transformation and the development of artificial intelligence. She noted that these areas fully aligned with the principal priorities of Georgia's Chairmanship of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC).
Particular attention was devoted to the security challenges facing the region, which continue to impede the full realization of the Black Sea's economic potential. The Deputy Minister underscored the necessity of the peaceful resolution of conflicts through the unconditional observance of universally recognized principles and norms of international law, including respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states.
From 29 June to 1 July 2026, the Parliament of Georgia is hosting the 67th General Assembly of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC).
At the conclusion of the session, Georgia will hand over the PABSEC Chairmanship to the Hellenic Republic.
