Maka Botchorishvili met with representatives of theWeimar Triangle Foreign Ministries

On 16 April 2026, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Botchorishvili, received representatives from the Weimar Triangle countries: Brice Roquefeuil, Director for Continental Europe at the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France; Niklas Wagner, Director for Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia at the Federal Foreign Office of Germany; and Michał Giergoń, Deputy Director of the Department for Eastern Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland.
 
During the meeting, the parties discussed the relations between Georgia and the European Union as well as current issues of bilateral cooperation. The parties also exchanged views on regional developments, highlighting the critical need for stability and security.
 
The Minister drew particular attention to the security challenges and priorities of Georgia as well as future cooperation perspectives. The representatives of the Weimar Triangle Foreign Ministries reaffirmed their steadfast support towards Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
