Agreement on visa-free travel signed between Georgia and the Republic of Peru

On 18 September 2023, Agreement on visa-free travel between Georgia and the Republic of Peru was signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ilia Darchiashvili and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Peru, Ana Cecilia Gervasi at the meeting held within the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

At the meeting held in New York, the sides discussed current issues of the bilateral and multilateral agenda and future perspectives. The importance of conducting high-level visits and deepening cooperation in the political, trade-economic, cultural and educational spheres was emphasized.

At the meeting with his colleague, Ilia Darchiashvili emphasized the importance of cooperation with Latin American countries for Georgia.

The sides agreed to actively work for the development of bilateral cooperation in various fields, especially by sharing Georgia’s experience of successful reforms in the area of public  services.
