On 2 December 2024, a telephone conversation took place between Georgia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maka Botchorishvili, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov. The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister congratulated his Georgian counterpart on her appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs and wished her success in this important role.
The parties emphasized the importance of the strategic partnership between Georgia and Azerbaijan, along with a shared commitment to deepening cooperation. Both ministers underscored the significance of maintaining the dynamic exchange of high-level visits between the two countries.
The ministers also highlighted the importance of ensuring long-term and sustainable peace in the South Caucasus region.
Minister Botchorishvili expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijani side for its steadfast support of Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity. She reaffirmed Georgia’s unwavering support for Azerbaijan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
