Biography

Born on 31 December 1979 in Tbilisi, Georgia.

Professional Experience

Since 30 November 2024, he has served as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.

From 2021 to 2024, he held the position of First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.

Between 2018 and 2021, he served as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

From 2017 to 2018, he held the position of First Deputy State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Integration.

In 2016-2017, he headed the Analytical Directorate of the Georgian Intelligence Service.

From 2009 to 2016, he served as Director of the Department of Security and Analysis within the Office of the National Security Council of Georgia.

From 2008 to 2009, he worked as Senior Adviser at the Department of Analysis and Communications at the Office of the National Security Council of Georgia.

Between 2008 and 2016, he held various positions within the Office of the National Security Council of Georgia.

From 2005 to 2006, he worked as Coordinator of South Caucasus Projects at the London Information Network on Conflicts and State Building.

From 2004 to 2005, he held the position of Representative and Project Manager in Armenia at the London Information Network on Conflicts and State Building.

In 2004, he served in Azerbaijan as the organisation’s Representative and Project Manager at the London Information Network on Conflicts and State Building.

From 2002 to 2004, he worked as an Analyst on ethnic minorities and conflict issues at the London Information Network on Conflicts and State Building.

Between 2002 and 2006, he held various positions at the London Information Network on Conflicts and State-Building.

Education

In 2006, Lasha Darsalia completed a master’s program in International Relations at the University of Essex, United Kingdom.

In 2003, he earned a Master’s degree in International Relations from Tbilisi State University.

In 2001, he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Tbilisi State University.

 

Lasha Darsalia holds the diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.

 

He is proficient in English and Russian.

He is married and has two children.
