On 5 May 2026, the delegation of Georgia, led by the Ministry of Justice, participated in the Second International Migration Review Forum (IMRF) held within the framework of the United Nations in New York.
During the Forum, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Khatuna Totladze, addressed the participants of the interactive multi-stakeholder roundtable meeting.
In her address, Khatuna Totladze focused on the importance of enhancing consular protection, assistance and cooperation throughout the entire migration cycle. She also underscored the need to facilitate the full engagement of migrants and diaspora communities in the sustainable development processes of their countries of origin.
The International Migration Review Forum serves as the principal intergovernmental global platform for Member States to review progress in the implementation of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration (GCM) and to exchange experiences in this regard.
