Within the framework of the Munich conference, Ilia Darchiashvili met with his Brazilian colleague Mauro Luiz Iecker Vieira. The ministers reviewed issues of bilateral relations and global challenges.
The sides welcomed the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Georgia and Brazil and expressed their readiness to work actively to identify priority areas of cooperation.
The Brazilian Foreign Minister once again confirmed his government’s support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia. According to the ministers, the importance of the South Caucasus keeps increasing and the existing investment potential may be of interest to the Brazilian business communities.
For its part, the Georgian side expressed the willingness to share its experience with Brazil in terms of providing effective public services. The Ministers agreed to exchange high-level visits this year.
