On 21 May 2026, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, George Zurabashvili, held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Paraguay, Cirilo Guillermo Sosa Flores (resident in Ankara).
The parties reviewed issues on the bilateral and multilateral cooperation agenda. Emphasis was placed on the importance of the bilateral political consultations format, and readiness was expressed to hold the next round of consultations during the current year.
Cooperation within international organizations was noted. Particular attention was devoted to the need to fully utilize existing potential in order to further strengthen trade and economic relations.
The Georgian side underscored that the strengthening of cooperation with the Republic of Paraguay remains a priority for Georgia.
