Dear Compatriots,
First and foremost, congratulations on our national holiday – Georgia's Independence Day! We deeply value the freedom and independence of our homeland. Additionally, we wish to extend our congratulations for May 27 – the Day of the Georgian Diaspora, which follows this significant date and symbolizes the unity between our homeland and the diaspora.
We take this opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude to each of our compatriots. Your efforts, particularly those aimed at the younger generation within the diaspora, are crucial for preserving our national identity and native language, promoting Georgia and its culture abroad, and strengthening bilateral relations between Georgia and the countries where our diaspora resides.
The Georgian diaspora is a vital force behind our country's success, and integrating it into our nation's development is one of our top priorities. Consequently, we have significantly enhanced the support mechanisms within the Ministry to assist diaspora organizations and address their challenges. The frequency and participation in diaspora grant programs have increased. These grant projects are an excellent means for the Georgian diaspora to showcase our country globally, support the empowerment of diaspora organizations, and establish educational or cultural centers and Sunday schools. Attaining the status of a candidate country for the European Union motivates us further to present ancient Georgian culture in Europe and promote it more widely in the future.
Dear compatriots, we look forward to discussing these matters with you at the upcoming traditional diaspora forum. We are confident that, in unity with the Georgian diaspora, our country and people will continue to achieve our goals related to our nation's prosperity, the protection of its sovereignty, and its dignified integration into the European family.
