On 5 October 2023, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Lasha Darsalia, held his first meeting with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Meline Arakelian, who recently started her diplomatic mission in Georgia.
At the meeting, the sides reviewed current issues of bilateral relations and noted with satisfaction the friendly and partner relations between the two countries. They emphasized the growing trade and economic relations and the role of the Netherlands as one of the leading investors in Georgia.
Special attention was focused on the progress achieved by Georgia on the path of European integration and the importance of granting the candidate status at the end of the year. The Ambassador of the Netherlands once again confirmed its strong support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia, as well as for the key foreign policy priorities of the country.
